De Montfort University – Recording Studio

Sound Control Services were tasked with building two new recording studios and a control room at De Montfort University in Leicester.

After an initial consultation with the client, we drew up a list of their requirements. We then went about designing a practical, high performance recording studio that fitted within their budget.

We supplied and installed the SoftWall acoustic wall lining system, acoustic ceiling tiles, acoustic vision panels and all acoustic doors. We also supplied the high density noise barrier materials used to prevent noise breakout between rooms. We then re-designed the air distribution and ducting using specialist products to prevent noise transmission through all duct work.
