SOUND-WALL.
Acoustic insulation system.
Also known as Isolation-Wall the SOUND-WALL
system was designed specifically to meet the growing requirements
of residential buildings where the levels of sound insulation
provided by an existing single-brick party wall are inadequate,
whilst keeping loss of room size to a minimum.
It is a well-known fact that a cavity wall
provides far better noise reduction than a single brick construction.
Sound Wall works on a similar principle, it is able to significantly
improve the overall acoustic performance by creating a new cavity
that is de-coupled from the original wall therefore reducing
transmitted impact noise as well as airborne noise.
SOUND-WALL can be applied to almost any type
of wall system including brick, block, plasterboard and stud
walls. Not just for residential applications but also for use
in offices, classrooms, theatres, cinemas, hotels, studios,
conference halls, fitness suites etc.

Sound Control Services have developed a modular
noise barrier system for indoors or out. Made from heavy-duty,
rubber-based material, they are designed to be hung on a structural
framework such as scaffolding poles. The curtains are ideal
for the insulation of sound for such applications as zoning
workmen on a noisy construction site, screening off sections
of a venue, pop/rock concerts etc.
Standard curtain size is 2.0 x 1.2m or under
although we are able to increase the overall size of the area
covered by the curtains by attaching industrial velco in order
that they are co-joined. The curtains themselves and hanging
mechanisim are made to order to your specification.
Baso
Tiles are designed for adhering onto existing flat walls and
ceilings. They are manufactured from lightweight open cell,
class 0 Melamine foam.
They are designed to improve the acoustic insulation by absorbing
airborne noise.
As standard, the Tiles are 50mm thick with
chamfered edges on the facing side, although other profiled
facings are available by request. The natural colour of the
foam is white, although we are able to supply the Tiles pre-sprayed
with a flexible, self-extinguishing, PVC coating to any RAL
colour.
This product is an extremely effective acoustic
underlay, it is an easy to fit composite, comprising a resilient
layer of Class ‘0’ acoustic foam sandwiched between
2 sheets of 5kg/m² or 10kg/m² sound deadening damping
barrier mat.
It is commonly used to reduce impact noise
and improve airborne sound insulation in domestic commercial
and industrial areas. It is suitable for use on staircases,
extensions etc. or anywhere there is a requirement to improve
floor and room sound insulation. It is simply laid onto a bare
floor, laying the slabs down in a brick pattern so the joints
are staggered, a sharp knife is used to cut as required.
