SoundDead Foam

Description

A premium high performance acoustic absorption material, environmentally sustainable and designed for demanding applications. It's unique structure and composition allow this material to offer around twice the acoustic energy absorption in a given thickness when compared with traditional materials. This allows designers and specifiers to reduce the space that they consume and to reduce the noise that users experience. It is the result of 4 years of research into para-elastic materials that exhibit potential acoustic absorption capabilities. By modelling and optimising the material's micro- structure, this product is designed to have very high levels of absorption across the frequency range.

• Because the foam does not easily absorb water or fluids it is particularly suitable for use in damp environments

• Open cell structure with complex pore geometry allows for effective absorption of air-borne sound across a broad frequency range

• Unique combination of physical properties allows absorption to be maximised at key nuisance frequencies

• Relatively high density and high flow resistance offers beneficial sound transmission loss properties

• May be used as an alternative to foam barrier multilayer composites
