3M 1099

This is a powerful PVC contact adhesive. It is a high-strength, fast drying synthetic adhesive with good resistance to plasticiser migration. Air dried bonds have high strength, resist weathering, water, oil and most solvents.
Excellent adhesion to glass, steel, aluminium, wood, and many types of rubber and vinyl. Also bonds fabrics, foam and flexible plastics. It has a short bonding range and rapidly attains a high ultimate shear strength.

In general, 1099 is used wherever an oil and fuel resistant, high strength, light coloured adhesive that will withstand attack by the most active plasticisers is required.
